Contact Forms
When you submit a contact form on our site, we collect your phone number and any other information you provide. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry about the My Shoe My Story platform, partnerships, or programs.
Newsletter
Our site includes a newsletter signup. If you subscribe, we collect your email address to send you updates about My Shoe My Story campaigns, events, and foundation news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Donations
Donations are processed through Clover, a third-party payment platform. Any personal or financial information you submit during the donation process is collected and governed by Clover's Privacy Policy. We do not store payment card information on this website. We may retain donor names and contact information for acknowledgment and tax receipt purposes in compliance with nonprofit recordkeeping requirements.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, general location, device type, and browser. This data is processed by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Website Technical Data
Like most websites, our site automatically collects basic technical data when you visit, including your IP address and browser type. This is used for security and spam prevention only.
A Note on Program and Cause Participation
My Shoe My Story works with athletes, coaches, and community leaders on cause campaigns involving personal stories, including topics related to mental health, medical conditions, and family challenges. Any information shared in connection with program participation, campaign design, or cause representation is handled separately from this website and is used solely to develop and deliver your campaign. It is not used for marketing purposes or shared beyond what is necessary to fulfill your campaign.
How We Store Your Data
Contact form submissions are received via email at info@myshoemystory.org and managed by My Shoe My Story foundation staff. Donor acknowledgment records are maintained in accordance with nonprofit recordkeeping requirements. Your data is stored on password-protected systems.
Who Has Access to Your Data
Your personal information is not sold. It is shared only with Clover for donation processing purposes. It is otherwise accessible only to My Shoe My Story staff directly involved in responding to your inquiry, processing your donation, or managing your campaign.
How Long We Retain Your Data
Donor records are retained as required by nonprofit accounting and tax regulations, typically a minimum of seven years. Contact inquiry data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. To request deletion of non-required data, contact us at info@myshoemystory.org.
Your Rights Under the Colorado Privacy Act
As a Colorado resident you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, access or correct that data, and request its deletion. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@myshoemystory.org or 719-994-2680. We will respond within 45 days.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals as required by applicable law.
